Our staff are trained in how to monitor not only the physical health of your pet, but how they are coping as well. We document any behavioural or physical changes daily including their intake of food, water and well as their bowel movements. If your pet is not eating we will change their diet and administer nutrigel which is a high vitamin gel.

Vet Information

If you pet needs veterinary treatment they will be taken to their own vet, unless we are unable to get into that vet, or you are from out of town.

All customers must agree to pay for all vet expenses if needed.

We have a 24 hour agreement with Kangaroo Flat veterinary clinic should an animal need veterinary attention outside business hours.

Hygiene

Maintaining high standards of hygiene is something Bendigo Pet Retreat prides itself on. Each kennel is disinfected and hosed out at least once a day. More if necessary.

We have a policy where by faeces is removed as soon as a staff member notices it.

Each cat pen is swept, mopped and has the litter tray cleaned every day.
