Boarding Dogs - Settling In
The majority of dogs actually enjoy their experience with us. The
get to play with other dogs and receive lots of stimulation and attention.
Occasionally a dog may fret and stress. This is evident
by them not eating or using their bowels. If a dog is not eating
the first thing we do is change their diet. If that does not work
we administer some Nutripet which is a high vitamin supplement and
appetite stimulant. If that still does not work we will try them
with various foods until we find something they will eat.
If we have to purchase additional foods such as roast
chicken, it will be at your expense.
On a rare occasion a dog is fretting and shaking we
will administer some paste called behave. It is a natural product
designed to calm a dog down. If this does not work we will contact
you and get you to make alternative arrangements.
The
majority of dogs do settle in after a few days, so do not be too
alarmed. The more your dog boards with us the more comfortable they
will become.

Aggressive
Dogs
We DO NOT accept aggressive dogs
into the kennels
This only includes dogs that are aggressive
to people. If your dog does not like other dogs that is fine,
just let us know.
The reason we do not accept aggressive
dogs is simple. It is too much of a risk to staff. We also
need to be able to handle all animals in case they require
vet treatment and medication.
If we suspect your dog is aggressive at check in we will not
board them. If the aggressive is noticed after they are already
checked in we will notify you and ask that you arrange pick
up. You will also be informed that your dog will not be able
to board with us again.
