Boarding Dogs
- How to prepare your dog for boarding

At Bendigo Pet Retreat we realise that boarding your dog can be stressful. If your dog has not boarded before and you are looking at boarding for a week or more we encourage you to consider the following:
Trial day or period—in preparation for a longer stay can assist the animal adjust and will allow staff to provide feedback on how your dog has coped
Bringing familiar items from home such as bedding and toys (please note all bedding must be suitable to launder and all toys must be approved by staff before admittance to ensure they are safe, we also do not allow Bean Bag beds)
Bringing your own food if your pet is a fussy eater

Dogs are very intuitive and pick up anxiety from owners. As hard as it may be please try to remain calm before leaving your dog. If possible try to be as positive as possible so that they find the kennel as positive place.
